Angled view of a laptop with a Slide V2 attached to it, with one display on each side of the laptop for a total of three screens 1
The Portable Monitor Slide V2 review: Two screens you can (kind of) take anywhere

Want a triple-screen setup on the go? The Portable Monitor Slide V2 delivers that, if you can deal with the hassle of setting it up.

As I've grown more accustomed to having multiple screens in my desk setup, it's become that much harder to get work done when I'm away from home and have to rely only on my laptop's display. I'm certainly not alone in that, which is why the portable monitor market has grown a lot in recent years, with lots of options from big and small brands alike. However, one of the standout solutions is the Portable Monitor Slide V2, which offers two screens in one package.

HP Dragonfly G4-8 1
HP Dragonfly G4 review: What else could you want?

HP's Dragonfly G4 isn't just a great business laptop. It's great for everybody

4
By

HP's Dragonfly series consistently shows up on our best laptops guide, and there's a reason for that. It's tough to find anything wrong with them, and that extends to the latest addition, the Dragonfly G4. It's super-light, has a 3:2 OLED display option, and the keyboard is best in its class. The webcam is pretty great, too, which is nice to have if you work from home, and HP even added some neat new features, like the ability to automatically switch between cameras while you're using them.

Seagate FireCuda 540 from above. 1
Seagate FireCuda 540 review: The world's most durable PCIe 5.0 SSD

The FireCuda 540 combines good PCIe 5.0 level performance with the highest endurance we've ever seen.

4
By

While many companies are chasing top-end performance or great cooling to make the best PCIe 5.0 SSD, Seagate is after something else: endurance. Its FireCuda 540 SSD isn't the fastest among PCIe 5.0 drives, but at 1000TBW per terabyte, it's definitely the most durable by far. If you want an SSD that will last you years without even failing a little, the FireCuda 540 is the SSD for you.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 with e-ink screen on display. 1
Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 review: Two screens make for a fun, but pricey laptop

The novelty of the secondary E Ink display wears off quickly

4
By

First unveiled at CES this January under a different name, the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 is a unique dual-screen laptop with one OLED and another color E Ink display placed on opposite sides of the laptop lid. This lid is anchored to a clever swivel hinge that allows for 180-degree rotation. This allows the ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 to be both a laptop and tablet with either display.

AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT 1

Buying a good graphics card within the last couple of years has been nothing short of a grand adventure, filled with high prices, low stock levels, and a shortage of electronics to boot. Still, this hasn't halted AMD, Nvidia, and now Intel from launching new products, and today we're going to be looking at the new AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT. The two GPUs are positioned to take on the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070 graphics cards, hence the similarly named SKUs.

HP Envy x360 15.6 2023 (1) 1
HP Envy x360 15.6 (2023) review: The OLED screen saves this 2-in-1

There's nothing too fancy about this convertible, but that might be just what you need

4
By

The HP Spectre lineup is where you'll get the best experience if you're looking for the best Windows convertible from the company, but if you're on a budget, there's the Envy line. While it's more mid-range and brings slightly cheaper starting costs, the HP Envy lineup is just as good, still offering features from the best HP laptops, like great webcams.

Khadas Mind early impressions: Redefining the mini PC

You may not have heard of Khadas before, but this mini PC is changing what the form factor is capable of

4
By

There's no shortage of mini desktop PCs on the market, and after seeing far too many pitches for these kinds of machines from relatively unknown companies, it takes a unique concept to get my attention. So you can imagine my surprise when Khadas — a company I had never heard of — reached out to tell me about the Khadas Mind, a mini PC that got my attention from the start.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset with the Cherry Red plates 1
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless review: The best gaming headset for a reason

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is the best gaming headset for a reason. It's simply phenomenal

4
By

In the world of gaming headsets, there are so, so many to choose from. I see so many options in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. I know many people who use a HyperX headset and many more who use a regular pair of headphones and a dedicated microphone. I fall into the latter camp and always have (I previously used Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless wired to my PC, for example), but the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless actually managed to change that.

Lenovo Legion Glasses hands-on: A portable monitor you can wear

The Lenovo Legion Glasses are a portable monitor you wear, and they're surprisingly good.

4
By

Lenovo had a ton of new products to show off at this year's IFA show in Berlin. If not for the Legion Go stealing the entire show for me, the Lenovo Legion Glasses would have been my pick for my favorite product at the show. They're a pair of AR glasses that plug into anything with a USB-C port, and the glasses will display whatever content is being output superimposed in the center of your vision.

hp-omen-transcend-16-2023-review-04 1
HP Omen Transcend 16 (2023) review: A Mini-LED display and strong CPU power

The Omen Transcend is the priciest of all HP's gaming laptops, but it has a number of premium features to make up for the cost.

4
By

HP has a three-pronged approach to mobile PC gaming, delivering laptops with varying prices and features through the Victus, Omen, and Omen Transcend brands. HP refreshed all three of its gaming brands for 2023, and we've now had a chance to test and review all of them. The Omen Transcend 16 (2023) — the latest to receive our attention — is the pinnacle of what HP offers in terms of high-end gaming laptops. To name a few standout selling points, it has a taller display with a 16:10 aspect ratio (not to mention a gorgeous mini-LED option), the chassis is made entirely of magnesium aluminum, and it's thinner and lighter than its siblings.

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 2023 in front of blinds next to a flower 1
Dell Inspiron 16 Plus (2023) review: A very capable laptop for almost anything

The Inspiron 16 Plus (2023) is a great everyday laptop, sitting between the XPS 15 and Dell's G-series gaming laptops when it comes to performance

4
By

It wasn't too long ago that I reviewed the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1, an excellent laptop for students thanks to the AMD CPU and the versatile convertible form factor. But Dell has since sent me the "better" version of that: the Inspiron 16 Plus (2023). This is a much more premium and powerful Inspiron device that you'd normally get with some of these great Dell laptops.

The Corsair MP600 Pro NH from above. 1
Corsair MP600 Pro NH review: Dethroning the 990 Pro as the fastest PCIe 4.0 SSD

The MP600 Pro NH wins a surprising victory against Samsung's acclaimed 990 Pro, albeit with some extra heat.

4
By

Although PCIe 5.0 SSDs are just now coming onto the scene, PCIe 4.0 drives are still very much relevant and will continue to be some of the best SSDs for at least a year. Among PCIe 4.0 SSDs, Samsung's 990 Pro has reigned as the fastest SSD (or at least tied as the top with WD's SN850X), and I was pretty confident that it would remain that way forever when I reviewed it back in April.

MSI Spatium M570 front view. 1
MSI Spatium M570 SSD review: A decent drive that can't quite match up to its peers

MSI's Spatium M570 is the company's first PCIe 5.0 SSD, and while there's a lot to like, the competition is hard to ignore

4
By

The first generation of PCIe 5.0 SSDs is finally upon us, and what started as a trickle of drives earlier this year has quickly become a flood. Tons of companies are attempting to make the best M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSDs for consumers, and while MSI is a relative newcomer to SSDs, that hasn't stopped the company from launching the Spatium M570. The M570 is a definite upgrade over PCIe 4.0 SSDs, but it's not quite the fastest PCIe 5.0 SSD you can buy.

Noctua NH-D15 1
Noctua NH-D15 review: This old classic is still king of air coolers

The undisputed king of air cooling for your CPU.

4
By

The Noctua NH-D15 feels like it has been around since the very first PC and we're only just getting around to reviewing the popular CPU cooler. Air coolers such as the NH-D15 are great for PC builds where a liquid all-in-one would either be too expensive, the radiator too large, or it's simply not required for what the system will be used for. Air coolers are usually more affordable yet are still able to tame even the more power-hungry processors from AMD and Intel. Noctua is one of the big brands in the air cooling space and the company's NH-D15 is a serious cooler for expelling heat.

hp-victus-16-2023-review-01 1
HP Victus 16 (2023) review: A proficient gaming laptop easily overshadowed

Can HP's "budget" Victus brand pull gamers away from the more premium Omen lineup?

4
By

HP has three gaming brands that offer tiered performance and features for users with varying budgets and needs. Omen Transcend is the peak of HP's offering, while Omen is the flagship series that no doubt appeals to most people. Victus is the more affordable brand that's great for gamers just getting into the PC world. Victus laptops are slightly more affordable than Omen ones, have many great features, and you can configure them with plenty of options, including Intel and AMD hardware.

TP-Link Deco BE85 mesh system two nodes from the front 1
TP-Link Deco BE85 Wi-Fi 7 mesh review: Ultra-fast Wi-Fi you can set up with an app

The Deco BE85 is a fast tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh kit with more capacity than most families will ever need and support for 10Gbps networks.

4
By

Wi-Fi 7 is genuinely incredible with massive speed increases over previous generations with new wider channels and multi-link operation modes. But there’s a problem. Nearly all of your wireless devices will need to be upgraded or replaced to get the full benefits of Wi-Fi 7, right? Actually, one of the best and most immediate uses for all of this extra speed is a mesh system with the extra bandwidth enabling ultra-fast backhaul connections. That means you’ll likely see improvements on your older tech, like a PS5, that can connect to a much closer access point maximizing its 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 connection.

MSI Clutch GM51 Lightweight 1
MSI Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless review: A heavyweight gaming mouse

This MSI mouse certainly comes in clutch for PC gaming.

4
By

MSI makes some compelling hardware, including PC cases, fully built systems, graphics cards, and motherboards. The company also makes some gaming mice, and today, we're looking at the MSI Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless, an excellent wireless mouse with a fantastic sensor and a fancy charging dock. Building lightweight wireless mice can prove a challenge since the battery pack can weigh a substantial amount, especially with the ever-increasing demand for longer periods of time between charges. MSI, like other manufacturers, has to strike a balance between weight and features.

The Cherry MX2A red, brown, and silver switches on a mat 1
Cherry MX2A keyboard switch review: Is this the next phase for switches?

An actually (semi) quiet Cherry switch for once!

4
By

While Cherry is arguably the most well-known name in mechanical keyboard switches, it often falls by the wayside compared to some of its clones. I’m personally a fan of Gateron switches, which are cheaper, quieter, and less scratchy than Cherry’s, for example. However, Cherry switches are still often built into mass-market mechanical keyboards, so even if they’re not your first choice when building a custom kit, they’re still one of the most widespread options and set the standard for the rest of the industry.

Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock 1
Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock review: A solid docking station for creatives

The Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock offers 16 different ports in total, making it a great companion to any laptop or Mac.

4
By

If you have a great Thunderbolt 4 laptop that you typically use at your desk, you should consider a Thunderbolt 4 dock for extra connectivity. There are many you can choose from, but you might've seen Satechi come up in your search. One of its newest docking solutions is the Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock. Though it is "Pro" in name, it's similar to other Thunderbolt 4 docks in its $300 price range. This means it is very well-designed and has a lot of ports onboard, including the card readers that creative types (who this dock targets) might need. Best of all, this dock comes with a stand, so you can use it both vertically and horizontally.

Acer Swift Edge 16 on a desk 1
Acer Swift Edge 16 review: A stunning OLED laptop with a crazy-good AMD Ryzen CPU

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is a treat of a laptop thanks to the fantastic OLED display and the Ryzen 7 7840U CPU under the hood

4
By

There are two features that I love to see on a laptop. The first is an OLED display, and the second is a CPU that's speedy-fast. The new Acer Swift Edge 16 has both of those, and it is the reason why this became my favorite laptop during the three-week period that I had it.
