<![CDATA[Best laptops with number pads in 2023]]> As laptops get thinner and lighter, features tend to get sacrificed along the way. The best premium laptops we see these days are often tiny and only have Thunderbolt 4 ports in order to save space inside the chassis, for example. Another thing that's fallen by the wayside over the years is the inclusion of number pads, which many of those best laptops don't have. Those dedicated keys can be hugely important if you work with numbers. All the keys are easily accessible in one position, so number-crunching becomes a lot more efficient and convenient. If you want this convenience, though, you have to look at larger laptops, starting at around 15 inches, and even then, not a lot of models have them. But there are some options if this is a must-have for you.

Despite that, all signs point to Microsoft shifting focus to Windows 12 in the future, with reports indicating that this entirely new version will be launching in 2024.

Displays are no longer second-class to desktop monitors, and typing on most is a pleasant experience. One feature that's still fairly uncommon outside business-class laptops, though, is 4G connectivity. While it’s more useful on Chromebooks, 4G LTE can keep you connected and able to work from wherever a cellular signal can be found.

Tablets are still the perfect companions to have alongside your smartphone, laptop, or PC, as they let you work on things more effectively. The best tablets are the ones that are big enough to keep you entertained when you fire up your favorite apps and games, but not so much that it becomes a hassle to carry them around. <![CDATA[29 years ago, Microsoft thought of bundling Internet Explorer with Windows]]> Most of us now consider it common practice for a vendor to bundle a web browser in its operating system; Windows ships with Microsoft Edge, ChromeOS comes with Google Chrome, macOS sports Apple Safari, while Ubuntu has Mozilla Firefox pre-installed. However, this wasn't always the case, especially in the early days of the internet when the technology was yet to reach mass market. In fact, Microsoft bundling Internet Explorer (IE) in Windows 95 was a pretty major move and was meant as a way to combat Netscape's growing popularity in the web browser space, in what would eventually be known as the "First Browser War".
